30 August, Monday

Up and ready for the road at 0900. It was intermittent rain and the wind was starting to blow. Heading north from Pagosa Springs our first road was Wolf Creek Pass. This is a very windy road that raises in elevation to over 12000 feet. To add excitement to the drive it was now raining hard, fog was present, a strong wind and once in awhile some hail. There was not much traffic, which was nice. However we did see several motorcycles heading towards Pagosa. Doesn't look like fun to me. Once over the pass the weather improver and we headed for Buena Vista, then Breckenridge and on into Golden, our destination.
